just wanted to share abt what happened to axia, ha yun, and himawari after this clip: hima would stop moving after a while + u can't hear her at all so chat was really worried abt her. after like, 10 minutes(?), axia announces to the stream (this is after he ended his own stream, but never left the vc) that himachan is safe so they shouldn't get worried, and that the staff will end the stream for her since she's can't see her screen at the moment. later, himachan tweeted that her LCD broke which is why she couldn't end the stream on her own. she also thanked axia and ha yun. so major props to the fast communication between axia, ha yun, himawari, and the njsj staff 👏👏👏 himachan's fans are also thanking axia and ha yun for the report so that they wouldn't get too worried

It is testament to japanese education and training about earthquake. Notice, they are just streamers. Civilian. Normal people. Not professionally trained disaster officials or news announcer. But they said generally the same thing. It's because they had undergo standard training and have been hearing the same things over and over again. 4:24 Highlight is Sango, she gave detailed instruction and even mentioned disaster kit

This is honestly wholesome in some ways, but also sad because they all know what to say and what steps they should recommend like a tv announcer as their room is shaking badly.

Wow I really admire these Japanese Vtubers, they really care about their audience. It's so heartwarming to see them advice their viewers to go to safety, check on their family, stop watching or stop their streams. I've seen other streamers react to earthquakes as they happen on stream and I think usually they will be shocked that it's happening, ignore their viewers for a bit (which is understandable since they are also in shock) but then afterwards go back to normal.

if even the one who is used to Earthquake(Japan) is feeling it that bad, it probably is really bad. They have advanced buildings for the most parts to resist quakes to a certain extend, thats why it is scary if they feel pretty shaken.

So the main issue is tsunami, not the earthquake itself.
@unnamedxx2 жыл бұрын
Yeah, big earthquakes can cause tsunamis. So you basically can get two natural disasters in one. Luckily Japan has a lot of safety features to help with earthquakes but there isn’t really much you can do for tsunamis.
@asrilhanif6092 жыл бұрын
they have earthquake proof house but not tsunami proof. Tsunami can be reduced but that's not enough to eliminate the potential

It gets ingrained in you to assess the earthquake strength and whether you should stop what you're doing and leave or not, in a calm way. Less than a year ago we had a 7.1 earthquake here in Costa Rica, and I was on a remote session with a customer on the US. You kind of enter in a "explain your though process" mode. Everything went fine, as we are prepared for earthquakes quite well, perhaps only topped by Japan and Chile. Regards from another shaky land!

personally i love the kurusu natsume handled it. Simple quick and clear.
