Holy moly as a person who can speak shanghainese… ive never seen any vtuber speak shanghainese until now! At the “broken shanghainese” part it means “i know” or “i get it”. Ty for clip :>

It’s not that common on yt I think but I’ve seen some vtubers on billibilli/douyin/other platforms that speak Shanghainese(either from or just learnt a bit) but idk if they’re still on that platform or grew to other platforms

as a shanghainese person i died when maririn said "what i heard the most in shanghainese was people getting mad at eachother (so yelling i guess)" because as a kid when i used to live with my grandparents, i would hear them yelling and yelling at eachother and my mom was actually also someone who was very loud so i guess that's wear i adapt from it LOL

It’s mostly 尤格Yog with some 舒三妈Susam. They sound very similar with Susam having a slightly higher voice
