A devastating earthquake has occurred in Xichuan. Lawyer Luo Ben has gone to the disaster-stricken area to look for his younger sister Luo Yuan. It's there that he comes into contact with the rescue unit under the leadership of Captain Qing Shan. Luo Ben also encounters Zhan Yan with whom he's had bad blood with in the past. However, he soon changes his mind about her as he comes to admire her selflessness and brilliance as a doctor. Luo Ben bears witness to the people's sense of camaraderie in the face of adversity and becomes deeply inspired by the volunteer efforts. Luo Ben along with Xiong Fei, Zhou Min Ming and Ding Ding Ding are the new recruits to the team. They survive Captain Qing Shan's "training from hell" and put their lives on the line in every rescue and disaster relief operation that pits them against earthquakes, fires, floods and typhoons. At the end of the day, they finally grow into an elite rescue unit.

Say rescue! Only place they didn’t retrieve someone was from the ocean. Now cave rescue was second to none. Wow! The writers for every story within the drama were excellent. And put it together like you did was superb. I’ve watched Leo Lou in quite a few dramas and he is most amazing. This drama is an excellent one. Earth quakes, fires, mud slides… rescue missions of all sorts. The actors were fantastic in their stories within this drama. It’s like nothing stops when things seem impossible, yet all works out. Climbing through the ice until he got to the river was spectacular indeed. Absolutely an incredible, fantabulous drama. So totally enjoyed this drama. The cast were great as they each played their characters great. The leads were wonderful. I found this drama to be educational by showing how the recues are implemented and how the men and women risks their lives to save people at a dangerous time. And so happy for the very happy ending. 展顏在羅本掉下去的情緒很符合一開始角色設定的性格，這才叫演戲而非臉譜化的情緒反應。 第一次看吳倩的女主戲，她也是個可以演一輩子的演員。在這部戲中她的妝髮都很清淡致力服裝生活化，這些都是角度塑造部分不像許多演員穿著非常時髦像走伸展台。 雲熙接了這個成熟劇本非常的好喜歡看他演群眾劇，雖然看他談戀愛好像也不錯卻太虛幻也太浪費他的光和熱。 追光者可能原人馬再演第二期，只停留在這段太可惜了。

繩索受不住兩個人同時拉扯，三個定位中一個鬆脫，羅本讓展醫生先拉上去，等展醫生安全著陸後再引體上昇。三個定位因不斷受力來回拉扯鬆脫，羅本掉到更深的一層。隊員大為緊張，圍聚在邊緣放下繩子想直接把羅本拉上來。人太多動作太大，冰緣不受力崩塌。把展醫生跌落那一層的冰縫完全覆蓋封住。 羅本先用頭燈向上照發現冰縫已經完全封閉，關了燈冷靜下來，再喝一口水定一定神。幸好背包與補給物資還在，決定向下爬沿著地下河道找出路。羅本下降至黑暗最深處，狹窄的空間中，孤身一人展開對抗命運的生死之旅。 羅雲熙演繹血肉之軀的頑強鬥志，虛弱身體內藏強大信念，最後見到光的一刻，露出征服命運擊退死神的一笑。被發現時已經力竭筋疲眼神散渙，但當聚焦展醫生的一刻，流下歡慰的眼淚。

First of all, thank you to CROTON for bringing is this complete series with no advertising. Much appreciated! A very underrated drama with some excellent acting. It takes you through so many emotions. I cried in several parts. The drama showed so many aspects of a voluntary rescue service with a high standard of professionalism - the volunteers trained like soldiers. It waa touching to see the relationships between the members of the squad and how they evolved over time. The snow mountain rescue took up the last three episodes and the drama was intense. However it was frustrating to see how poorly equipped the rescue team was - eg no flare guns, no stretcher for carrying injured people. Luo Yunxi played his character very well, showing lots of growth from the start when he acted as a control freak over his sister, evolving into a respected leader with many heroic moments. He is very good at using his eyes and small facial expressions to show intelligence, kindness and other emotions. The character of Zhan Yan was not very appealing. Janice Wu is very pretty when she smiles, but her role called for portraying a cold, detached person who is extremely stubborn and unyielding. Overall it's a drama worth watching.

Thank you very much for the great episodes of this film as well as the English subtitles. Great to play Yang An Qi alias Luo Yuan, who is a mute woman but has good hearing and excellent command of Chinese Sign Language. Hats off to her difficult but very good role! Congratulations. Every rescue situation was always exciting, but also a bit emotional and dramatic. With such considerations and organizations, misunderstandings can also occur, but they can be solved quickly and correctly.
