My headcanon is, this song is xiaoge song about wuxie (mostly because xiaoge only connection to the world is wuxie. "Your gaze" fit perfectly in the situation. Everytime xiaoge disappeared wuxie always looking for him), meanwhile "because of you" by Joseph Zheng (wuxie actor) is wuxie's song towards xiaoge.
