I've been doing the Butt Drill 100 times a day against my refrigerator every day for the past month. I don't come up and out of my stance and thrust my pelvis forward any more. Thanks Christina.😺

Woman you are amazing!!!! This method has given me back the enjoyment of golf. The most important move in golf is what happens behind you not in front of you!!!!! Thank you thank you thank you!!!!!!

Thanks Christina. Took it to the course today. Wow! The missing link for me. I’ve heard this before but the way you explained it worked this time. I think the butt roll is the only thing I’ve never tried. This worked. So simple. Who knew. Love your video training. Thanks again!

Have been watching a lot of golf tuition mainly on puring my irons, but got lots of theory and a 50/50 success rate. Came across this and my god it seemed to be the missing link. I am way more than 80% pure connection now and actually hitting it much further. Many thanks

Not only does this incorporate the use of our strongest muscles (glutes, quads and core) it also (almost by necessity) promotes proper foot action by forcing you to put most of your weight (pressure) on your heels instead of your toes. Excellent advise and drill!

Wow. this is actually a great tip. I love the posture reminder. Bend from the hips but tuck the pelvis to ensure alignment of the lower body. Using the glutes to power the swing is smart. Large muscle in the body for sure

Yes!!!!! I love your videos and never got the squat, jump & extend. This however works for me. Used it today and felt so powerful. You're right about the pull so needed be mindful. Felt like I got mega-power from the ground & hit through the target w/o the jump piece. Yeah, I'm not jumping like Justin or Lexy but got tons of distance & compressed the ball so much easier! Thanks for all you do!

Do you have any thoughts or feels that would help to delay the strike? By accident, I believe I have felt an effortless swing due to a delay of the strike but I’m not sure why it occurred. Thanks for your great tips.

I love your commitment. Actually having that guy directly stare at your butt while you said, "see, I'm rolling the butt not turning it." How were you even keeping a straight face? Idk, but kudos on you for being a cool person.

Rolling my butt and hitting it GREAT. I do feel soreness in front of right hip area. Is that common when working on ‘roll the butt move’? I have been hitting a lot of balls last few days. Love your videos and humor. Don

Christine…Except for the back pain, is there another feeling between rolling the butt and rotating the hips? I can see for me I could error rotating instead of rolling.

How many repetitions of this will it take for it to become second nature, Christina? This one I'm going to have trouble with. Will probably need to practice against a wall for a while to ingrain the feel of it. I do like the results it brings to the swing. Thank you for sharing.
@MorePars
@MorePars 2 жыл бұрын
if it is a new feel for you, then you'll need to practice a ton. Using the wall or edge of a couch at home and then taking that same feel to the course. At the range, find a wall to use as a warmup doing the but roll. You'll know when you do it right. the swing will feel effortless with fast ball speed ofd the face!!

Christina, What exactly is the difference between rolling around your lead butt and spinning the hips? Both hips end up turning in either case. Please advise
@MorePars
@MorePars 2 жыл бұрын
BIG difference. Engaging the glutes activates the entire leg through the feet which helps deliver more powerful ground engagement, helps to maintain posture, and keep the club on plane. Just spinning the hips doesn't mean ground engagement, often times a spin of hips comes from lower back (not good) and doesn't really support (as well) staying in posture.

Why would we go even deeper into the rear hip in the backswing?
@MorePars

Helps create a deeper engagement with the ground AND helps with posture. Not for everyone....Lead butt deep is the big key.

Rolling your arms so much will almost always create a draw. How to do a fade?
@MorePars
@MorePars 2 жыл бұрын
Grip and stance line is the easiest way to get a fade. Less depth with the hands at the top as well.

Rollings your arms through impact requires exquisite timing and lots of practice. Most modern teachers have moved away from that way of swinging . Just saying.
@MorePars

It all depends on grip, body pivot and wrist conditions that determines release pattern. All players have grip roll. Some have less than others.
