I used to work in the jewelry industry for 4 years and beware of clusters! They easily fall out and constantly need to be replaced. They’re a major POA. Bezel or one big solid rock is the way to go, just check your prongs and make sure it’s not snagging

A solitaire is the ONE for me. Or, three across RBCs Either one can be added on to as styles change. I don't have either. 32 years in--hoping for the 3 across.

Art Deco as an engagement ring ♥️

Thank you for mentioning floral designs. I just got an engagement and wedding band for Christmas that has a pear lab alexandrite center stone with pear moissanites side stones/ accenting it to look more floral. You are the first professional jewler/youtuber I've seen mention these elegant feminine rings. They are my favorites.

Hi Kaylin, Yes I find it surprising that no one mentions it because we do allot of floral designs across various styles :)

I really don’t like toi et moi because of the lack of symmetry. I know people love them and that’s fine, but I have a feeling the asymmetry & the incredible trendiness of them is going to make for unhappy brides in a few years. The one exception is more of a bypass or Victorian style “column” with two stones of the same size & cut style. These will stand the test of time better than totally disparate stones stuck together.

Yes I think so as well! Thanks for sharing the reference, very cool!

Agree, they also look clunky. Not to be worn every day.

I dont like toi et moi, but I like the symbolism of putting two different stones together. And then when the family grows, add more stones accordingly. Then it can be a toi, moi, elle, lui, eux ring.

The Halo still sells very well to even the very young customers, mainly because it has established itself as solidly classic as the solitaire (including bezel, pavé band, etc.) and three - stone. The other trendy styles are just too gimmicky, "flash in the pan" and not really what most people would want as their "forever rings." Also, even "Halo" itself is just as diverse as Solitaire. There are amazingly designed Halo settings that are Art Deco, Art Nouveau, etc., just as there are poorly designed ones that are inelegant.

I agree with you 100%, I see Halos on Generation Z over here on the East Coast all the time, they are no way disappearing that's for sure.

I picked out a one- of-a- kind antique ring (art decostyle)and had it customized with a bezel for the large stone. I think it will really be unique. It has diamonds on the band, round and baguette. I just didn't want the halo, pave, or thin band trendy looks.

Confusing halos are gone but thicker banda are IN. I thought thinner bands and no halos are simpler?
@usfanlovesminho50859 ай бұрын
Halos are nowhere near being gone I don't know what she's talking about there. I see them on young girls and woman of all ages pretty often. And yes the thin thin bands are on their way out and the thicker bands are coming back. At least over here on the East Coast Philly to New York that I have seen, as I frequent both cities quite often.

You should never pay attention to trends when purchasing an engagement rings.

I have to disagree about Halos going out and that the generation Z is not buying them because they don't like them. I'm on the east coast and I see Generation Z with halo engagement rings quite often actually. And the jewelry stores over here from Philly and New York as I frequent both cities have a lot of halos in those glass cabinets. Halos have become a classic and I just don't see them on their way out so I think they're here to stay.
