Lucky for me I was on stage with my fave, Engelbert in 1970, I have the memory of 3 kisses, his hankie, and the backstage moments, and photos. He is my "Elvis". Many performances later, we 4 girlfriends organized several "sold out" bus trips to Toronto. Saw him last in 2019 in Orillia, he was in the same great singing voice, and mellowed by his age. The best there is, ENGLEBERT HUMPERDINCK. I am 84 yrs old and this memory is as vivid today as in 1970.

+annelenlovengegreece - I agree, I first heard about Engelbert when I heard Release Me played on a radio station in New York , when it was first released. i was captured by this voice, called the station and got what info they had. joined the fan club in England, and was able to keep track of what was happening in his life, and just a few years later Engelbert was invited to perform in Las Vegas, by no other than Dean Martin. We flew there to see him, and I have followed him and his career ever since. Having seen him in person just a few months ago, here in NY. He recently finished a tour in Australia and is now in South Africa, singing to all his fans there. An amazing singer, just about the best entertainer in the world, today!

Thanks for sharing this..I just saw him in Miami,fl a couple of weeks ago, he still has the same strong voice. First time I saw him perform was at the Diplomat hotel in Hallandale Beach, Fl in 1972, then a few more times during the 70;s in Ft Lauderdale Fl in Sunrise Music center. Wish I could go back in time and be right here in Bermuda, enjoying this for first time. He is sooo good looking.!!
