That may be true with some engines, but the M103 does not do well at all with platinum or iridium plugs. They foul quickly in an oil burning M103. The copper tip V-groove plug has proven to be the best.

These will not work in an M117 because the thread and seat are different. But I will get getting in stock by the end of next week that will fit the early Mercedes V8s.
