I know....... Haha, it's a crappy style one I've never liked but would like to replace it with bronze one and not a cheap plastic one and there expensive! But next time we get to major port I'll be looking for sure

@@DIYNauticalDream I just went to your channel and watched and looked and saw the dates. When did you buy the boat if you dont mind me asking? Our boat was on the hard in that exact spot for about 4mths haha

Perhaps the holes in your strainer are just too coarse? Ours are way, way finer - more like a kitchen sieve

Yeah they are pretty good sized holes and design isn't the best, just need to replace it. never cared for it but hasn't been as much of problem until now as we're motoring a lot around here
