Honestly I would say Ls swap with the Yukon motor TEMPORARILY until 2022 so you won’t have to buy a crate motor and you can show us how to do a hood Ls swap. you won’t have all those motors piled up. The you can shut up the Ls swap crowd. That’s a 4 for one combo

A small block 355-383-406 with enough cam and enough head will run really hard although the LS has the tech on its side. the right air fuel ratio and a timing curve, yeah you gone get down something serious. A lot of people don't have enough cylinder head nor do they have enough cam and compression a hint to those reading.. you're gonna need a camshaft with 235-240 degrees @ .050 minimum and a 195 200cc head and that's in a 350/355 size. 383/406s gonna nee even more and at least 10:1 compress...10.5 would be better and im talking pump gas 92 but by the time you start modifying shit for higher power it all cost the same really. recipes sometimes take a long time to cook...slow cook in the oven. but its gonna taste better in the end
