I know he has the motor out of the chassis to show the parts, however it would be far better if they filmed with the motor in the vehicle. The installed motor is what the average person has to contend with with all the tight, lack or space, removing and installing the starter.

At 5:44 you can see the upper starter bolt right below his index finger. I'm thinking a u-joint and extension will get it out without taking intake off.

hello, i have no experience and had to do this job myself. Following along with the video I was taking off the manifold and dropped an extension and a socket down into it. I have since bypassed the manifold altogether and completed the starter. However I still have the problem of the tools being inside my manifold now. I have made a magnet on a bendable hose and couple a of other things and no luck.. Can someone please tell me of a tool that actually works to remove the bolts in the manifold while its still in the car. I cannot find anything to fit that will work because of the firewall. HELP

Takes about 3.6 hours. Top bolt is 16mm. Super tight. Very difficult to get to. Pain

After doing all this I realized the starter can be removed by only Removing the bottom intake bracket. Then I watched this again and realized you typed in in Tiny letters in the beginning. STUPID!!!
