Engineers are your supply chain. They build ammo boxes, create spawn points in strategic locations and build defensive obstacles to block the enemy. You'll notice that the team that has the most engineering points at the end of the game usually wins. I have an engineer squad decked out in all of my campaigns.

I have never used an engineer squad to its full potential but the individual engineer in your squad can turn buildings into literal no-go zones. Getting all your AI stuck into those barb wires, Czech hedgehogs, ditches and sandbags coupled with AP mines can break the morale of any team. ❤

I tend to find that my engineers get me the most kills of all my squads even without using the deployables. I've only got Engineer II soldiers on Tunisia so haven't used the machine gun nest that often. The Enfield rifle quite often helps me pick up 25+ kills each time they drop in, and like you said being able to supply your own ammo keeps my engineer squad in the game for twice as long as other squads.

Bit of a correction, Assaulter 1s can get +35% Vitality, they just need perfect vitality stats to have it

Correct! I think he meant that engineer I's have a guaranteed 16(+) vitality points at lvl 5, and assaulter I's don't have that guarantee.

the machine gun nests are op in the berlin campaign since there is a lot of narrow pathways If I want to be protected while using an aa gun, I dig a ditch then put the aa gun in it as it is really hard for bombs to kill you this way

The problem with at guns, at least in Normandy is the Germans get the 50 mm pak 38 which cannot frontally pen a Sherman while the Allie’s get the 57mm 6 pounder which can pen the front plate of a tiger and the turret of a panther. I’ve tested.

Had replaced my AT squad in Moscow with an Engineer II one. Ended up using Maxims mowing down Germans. Great buff on the build speed and makes this actually more useful despite being still an engineer II only unlock.

there’s also been a glitch of some sort, which affected engineers in both normandy and stalingard where the engineers that you enlisted prior to the AA change, will have access to basically every gun from that campaign, apart from the sniper rifles. which could end up with you having a squad of 6 engineers armed with StG 44s or PPSh 41 which is ridiculous.

When I build that stuff, I have in mind to hamper the enemies movement to keep them from easily getting onto the objective... so I'm not putting that stuff between friendly spawn and the objective. That doesn't help. Now between the objective and enemy spawn? That will make life easier!

That would make sense. But they would have to add alot more models, Light AA would be MGs and Heavy AA would be 20mms and the like. Oh god the Heavy AT would be terrifying, noting like a 88mm panzergranat coming straight though your view port.

I love that the water-cooled maxim is overheating just as fast as other machineguns, I miss the MG42 nest mobility and glitch potential.

Darkflow has been extremely lazy on the part of the MG nests... The MG's have incorrect mounts, they have no reloads and infinite ammunition, they overheat crazy fast and you can't even quick change barrels on them. Like the Type 92 heavy machine gun had a 30 round strip feed, but in Enlisted it just has unlimited ammo! Compare that to the MG nests in Red orchestra 2. MG-34 nest comes with the correct mount, 200 round belt and quick change barrel. And the maxim never overheats!

@@JohnDiabol I don't care, this is not a milsim. But what bugs me is the plane mechanic since they changed it's very hard to shoot down planes even with 20mm. Now more often your plane just run out of ammo, you managed to hit most of the time, but that juggernaut still flies just fine. (Btw as a reenactor who have some knowledge about this I can tell you your 200 round belt dream is bullshit, 250 round fortress belt existed but was not used in regular MG nests, they fed MG42s exclusively with 50 round belts, MG34 could also accept 75 round double drum mag but was used only for AA purposes)

@@ErikAdalbertvanNagel MG-34's and 42's on tripods were fed from belts stored in cans and not from the 50 round drums. Can be i mistook the 200 round belt for a 250 round belt, but that's what tripod mounted machine guns used. If you doubt me then feel free to go watch forgotten weapons video on the mg-34 or mg-42, he'll confirm the same thing. 50 round drums on the squad mg's with bipods, large belts on the tripod guns for sustained fire.

And the only thing you need to worry about is a "spy sapin my sentry" (not sorry!) So thats the life of a Engineer huh? Sounds like fun, you are THE support team with your AA and AT guns and MG nests, on top of everything everyone else gets. Plus your no pushover in direct combat ether, extra HP (i guess all the gear your carrying acts as body armor LOL) and good guns.

The only thing that I don't like about engineers is how long it takes to unlock an MG nest. As a f2p player who mostly only plays at Sundays and little bit through work days I still can't unlock the mg nest at any campaign despite using engineer 2 squads in every campaign. MG nest is the last upgrade for these squads and due to very long grind time for later squads it takes me about 5 battles to be the best in team with this squad to get a single upgrade point. I should also mention that I am playing this game since closed alpha

Machine gun nests do very well in open field games too I played a 200 kill 0 death game setup on a hill in Moscow defending you get your squad to protect you and build barriers on the side

good content quadro, no joke. Aside from that, the comonly known saying would suggest , this squad is "medicore at everything, good at non". Clip shows one thing perfectly: HOW MOVING VECHICLES IN GAJIN GAMES ARE GLITCHED, tanks, ships, trains- due to poor servers.

yes, its a bit rough. Tanks are okay-ish on the move, but planes get mad fucked up. It's why people think planes are tanky. They aren't tanky, its just bad servers!

I was in the Pacific once, I was setting up an anti-tank gun cuz a half track was tearing the team to shreds on the other side of the river. I saw a plane, some 100-200m away from me and immediately panicked to get the AA guns set up. Finished the AT gun, set up the AA gun, shot down the plane, it's bombs barely missing the strategic point, crashes into the forest, shot the half track afterwards, felt really good. As my friend said, being an Engineer is op XDXD

@Quadro you should made a video about importance of having engineer in every single squad and building rally points on flanks, also importance of going behind enemy lines Lt. Speirs style, to search and destroy enemy rally points, these are game changing behaviours, and another thing, it's annoying when pilots ask for targets when they're best spotters, tracing flash exchange, bum, infantry spotted, spamming V with C and looking around from above 2km, bum, all tanks spotted, people are lacking basics in this game and losing, not placing a rally points is most annoying, advertise that please, every squad - one engineer

I can equip my engineer 1 with the grease gun and other submachine guns.....and you say they can equip only bolt action ,semi auto and select fire weapons .....sooo is this a bug or something?

Bug. They "patched" it so that newer engineers you buy can no longer have smgs or lmgs. But somehow, engineers before the patch can STILL have such weapons.
