i once cut the blue heat wrap from one of the new srb400 batteries its just a thermal switch or like you said maybe current limiter nothing else

Could i change the gear ratio from 18:1 to something crazy like 32:1 in exchange for a heavier spring like an m140? with the change in gear ratio it will stilll fit in the gearbox the same right? And will the stock motor be under to much stress with this change?

I think the motor won't be able to handle it. Also, the battery would also be drained way faster.

Really informative videos, I knew nothing about this before watching! One question, I want to make my Splatrball blasters quieter, do you have any recommendations on how I could do that? I have read about putting a damper on the piston head, but I'm not sure how to do it/how effective it would be...

I haven't tried reducing the noise, because I've also read that the resultsfrom the damper piston heads are not worth the cost/effort, and can introduce other issues. Adding foam around the gearbox will probably have a better noise reduction.

Yo my sector delay chip got ripped up when using it in 20 shots full auto. Where is the best place to by 3d chip that won’t get damaged and what type of plastic? Could I possibly use metal 3d chip?

@@PxckFlxpper16 was it 3D printed? Needs to be a tough material, like at least ABS. You can buy sector chips for airsoft and modify them as needed.

That will be next, but tbh, I don't care much for higher rate of fire. Just wasted more ammo. Also, I think that the tappet will need to be changed, and the motor may burn out more quickly.

Shouldn't the nozzle go past the feed tube in the t piece? It seems to stop short just before loading the next ball to be fired. But that's just an observation without the piece being on. Just seems short for some reason

I need to check, but normally, the nozzle tip only contacts and seals off against the other side of the feed tube, so it doesn't travel completely past it.

@@engineerable I rechecked the video, it looks like when you fire in semi auto that the nozzle isn't completely forward. I'm not sure why splatter ball put a delay Notch into their selector gear. The one I stripped on my lightening blaster is just a round tab. You'd figure the tappet plate is designed for the gels, why would you need an elongated pin? Seems like that would only be necessary for an air soft tappet plate to convert it

I know that's not the most affordable way to hit that kind of performance, but my first srb400 broke after about 100k rounds through it or so. I bought another so I can still shoot at my homies, but I'm trying to think of the best course of action for the broken one I still have. Worst case scenario I have extra accessories and magazines now.

100k+ rounds is probably pretty good for stock Splatrball gearbox life. Yes, swapping out with a metal gearbox is better than trying to mod the plastic one. A metal airsoft gearbox will still require some minor mods. I'm working on a video of doing that.

It looks like a V3 airsoft gearbox, but the diameter of the piston body tracks is different and really Fs things up.
