I work as a staff frontend engineer. I use indexeddb extensively coupled with web workers. There are both pros and cons. One issue I face often is issue related to storage. The browser decides to close the indexeddb at anytime it likes. It’s totally out of your control . There is an option to persist the data in disk storage but for that you need to get user consent.

Yes, agreed. Index db is not good for every application. It slows down the application also when database filled with huge data.

Yesterday i came with an idea of project based on some real problem and when i think deeply about its implementation its requires some backend like database for data storage and handling http request for data retrival. As a beginner frontend developer i know nothing about backend, can you give me insights about what to learn to implement data storage facilty and method to get and post data?

Can we cache post api response in cache using service worker? I am working on one project where we are using pwa, service worker, index db for both online and offline support, so I am able to cache get api in service worker but facing issue in post api @chirag @akshay plz suggest me resources how can I cache post api response in service worker
