Recently we got a battery powered leaf blower at work. It is more quiet and the wind speed can be good. Depending on the used battery it can be fairly heavy. Also the bigger batteries are expensive. The battery life can be short, depending on the air speed.

Surely it's not as heavy as a gas powered one right? Engines tend to be quite heavy.

It is a backpack style lead blower. We needed something with enough power because the area is pretty big. Sometimes I wish we owned a street sweeper car because it would make work easier. With a leaf blower you blow the dirt and leaves onto a pile but you still need to pick up. The blower's weight is 7 kg and our biggest battery has 8 kg. You need the bigger batteries for the runtime, unless you want to swap the batteries all the time. Depending on the speed, the biggest battery lasts up to 100 minutes.
