John, this is just a trailer. I know that. It still made me tear up. I literally cannot describe the overwhelming sensation of awe and excitement that I feel whenever I see a new melodysheep video. The closest thing I can think of... it's similar to the sensation I have on a really good first date, when I start to imagine all of the possibilities in store for me if that budding relationship works out. The biggest difference, though, is that I get this wonderful feeling on behalf of not just me, but also all of our descendants. They're going to do so much cool stuff if we can just get our act together as a species and start really tackling the greatest problems we face. I want to give them the whole universe, and if they ever start reaching out into the stars like this then I will have played some small role in making that happen.

There are things we do that are bad, and don't benefit it, like grass lawns, they harm more than they help (drinks up water, brings less pollinators, hurts ecosystems by taking up valuable space.) Technology is good, but so is nature, both should be used with respect, there's no need to remove science and technology, but we are stuck not improving because what big corporations profit off of is often harmful and evil, and they are okay with that. There are wars being fought for the ores in our tech that google amazon and the like are all completely hands deep in, gleeful about how many children and families are dying and starving because of it. The building of technology does need to use things like salve labor, it can be done without it, but it isn't because not enough people are making rich people fear their actions. Tech uses unpaid labor and harmful practices. It uses ideas that further destroys nature. Big companies can dump wastes and do illegal things and get relatively low fines, with people in the area getting left with poisons in their water or air supply. We can improve our world, by actually calling out tech makes actual problems from mismanagement. We can do something about it, if we actually all try and make an effort, that is how things have always changed. The more people put a leg in to help push, the faster a bolder moves, and the sooner the size of the problem disappears.

The trailer looks amazing my only problem is the reendering at 0:45. The Habital rings have an atmosphere on both sides. Habitational rings around earth would both have spin and gravitational (created theirs and earths mass) acceleration but one will cancel out, this way only one side will have an acceleration pointing towards the ring. Leading to the otherside having no atmosphere even in the short run and acceleration pointing away from the rings surface. Maybe you don't completly work undercurrently understood physik in the section of the video or only want it to look amazing which it does, still I wanted to point it out in case this is not wanted.

hum. i actually see those projections as dystopian. Also impossible, we will never gather such ressources, the energy needed to construct such things is beyond possible. It would take the complete mining of several entire planets like earth (i mean COMPLETE mining, down to the core). that beautiful imagery, but just for dreaming. also i said dystopian, because the use of such ressources might come at such prices (wealth inequality, expropriation of entire countries, probably killing of millions of people, or BILLIONS, etc...). this vision is a pure nightmare. But melodysheep is just here to make us dream, not really think.
