Yes, diploma holders can apply for some defense exams, depending on their qualifications and the eligibility criteria set by the defense forces. For example, diploma holders can apply for the following defense exams: Indian Army Technical Entry Scheme (TES), Indian Navy Artificer Apprentice (AA), Indian Air Force Airmen Group X and Group Y, and National Defense Academy (NDA). Diploma holders can also apply for other defense jobs, such as: Navy Chargeman, Coastguard Yantrik, Army GD, Army Tradesman, Territorial Army, DRDO, Delhi Police, CISF, BSF, and CRPF. Diploma is considered equivalent to 10+2. However, to be eligible for the CDS exam, you must have a graduation degree from a recognized university or institute.
