Engineering the Hovertrain - 1972

Shows the development of a potential train that will travel at up to 300 miles per hour on the hovercraft principle, powered by a linear induction motor developed by Professor Eric Laithwaite of Imperial College London. The sequences with Laithwaite were shot in his lab at Imperial.
