I feel like the best way to prepare for my Dynamics exams is to try these on my own and then watch you go over these problems to compare answers.

what if the center would be a little top of the point A? it has still small distance with respect to A and greater distance to the B.

Yes, that would be the case if the top plate was moving to the left (like the bottom plate). Since one plate is moving left and one plate right, you know the ICZV is between them. If they are both moving the same direction the ICZV is above A or below B.
