You can also derive A from the solution though? If you multiplied the entire solution by 6Z^2, (before you multiplied by a common denominator 3Z^2 & 2Z) you would get A? Is that not also correct?

If you multiplied the entire final solution by 6, then dividing the Z^-2 amongst all the terms (pretty much working backwards from the solution) you would get 3 + 2Z^-1 + Z^-2. Then if you multiplied the entire thing by Z^2.... you would get A?

No all you have to do after extracting the X(Z) is to simply multiply numerator and denominator by Z^2. That's it. It's that simple. He did like 5 unnecessary steps. H(z) = 1/6 (3+2z^-1 + z^-2). Then multiply by (z^2)/(z^2) to get 3z^2 + 2z + 1 divided by 6*z^2. Answer is C.

@@JL-fh4qw Got to show his work to the viewers, bro. Haven't taken this class in 20 years or something. I remember I used to like these classes because when I was working in a group... I ended up solving all the problems and had someone explain the concepts to the others as I work on other problems. Solving and getting answers is fun. Seems like it will take me 5 days to review all of the material in this channel. I am just trying to figure out how to review the other material that is not covered here. If you have any suggestions, please let me know.

@@JL-fh4qw Now, I am looking it a bit more carefully and you comment. I see what you mean if I used mental math. Imagine if you are teaching this to elementary students, you wouldn't want to skip those steps. It is more proper to have them. EE students are generally stronger with math. I can see 40% of students would be able to do it mentally. I should finish with the rest of the videos by tonight, and tonight I have my last tennis practice, which I do not want to miss. By watching and understanding mathematical concepts of the videos, I am not sure how much this prep me for the Electrical FE /EIT Exam. Are you using any other books to study your FE? It should take me 5 days to review all these videos. If you like we can study together...
