Here's an exact picture: Firstly I'm in a vtu affiliated college. ✓ One semester finishes within 6 months or less where 3-4 months only for classes and rest for practicals (internal/external), and then the semester exams. ✓ In that 3-4 months you have to write two or three internal assessments (like tests) plus some assignments or seminars ✓ You will have around 8 subjects per semester. (I'm currently in my 4th semester). Out of which barely one or two are important for the future. Rest is just to torture us. ✓ Every subject has 5 modules and that's a massive syllabus. Imagine at the end of the semester preparing all these. ✓ Quality of teaching in almost every college is the worst (according to my experience and knowledge), so take the help of online resources and utilize as much as possible. Due to the shortage of time it's actually difficult but if you go without any distraction you will top the exams for sure. ✓ Apart from academics you will have various events, club stuffs etc. With effective time management you can handle academics + co-curricular activities well. Now decide your future. And if you have passed the 2nd pu, I suggest you pursue a field you are interested in instead of engineering coz you might realise later that it's not for you. I'm saying this because it's the perfect time to choose a passion. Choose what's perfect for you. Engineering isn't what it actually appears to be. It's not a cakewalk.

I am an engineering graduate in ECE. According to my experience, engineering is good. But there is a big tragedy in the VTU syllabus: subjects are old and industries (companies) are not using this concept that we have learned in engineering; there are no skilled professors, even though they didn't have industrial knowledge and they didn't complete the syllabus. Simply put, you learned theory without practical experience and worst paper evaluation. Suddenly conduct the internals, semester exams, lab internals, lab exams, and technical seminar when you come to final year projects, torcher from professors. There is not much time to study even you don't know how fast engineering is completed. Finally, you will be disappointed if you don't have a job. You think I couldn't go for engineering? I made a big mistake. This is the reality of India's engineers.I am trying to understand with simple words apart from this story there are lot of history in engineering. I think you understood these lines if you didn't understand please comment below. I will tell about KGF Part 3 of engineering.
