this is like living in a dream world, I've been working as a software developer for over 20 years and worked on startups to big companies, and I have to say that docs are rare, onboarding in most cases doesnt help you that much, in most cases, you have to put in the time to understand the code by yourself. But greats tips anyways.

Sounded more like ramping up to a new team effectively. If it is just a new code repo, I found adding breakpoints and stepping through each line once you understand the folder structure is a quick way to get through your task.

Thank you for creating a video on this topic ❤. I think that understanding a new codebase, making additional changes, or even just checking whether existing features are working or not is always the most difficult part. I faced this issue earlier, where I quickly raised a PR and ended up creating additional bugs. 😅

Hai Utsav... I am a Computer Science Guy .... and my current career has been in IT Support (System Admin) for almost 12 Years. My personal interest is Web Development and Mobile App Development. is it good to jump into web development and learn from scratch at the age of 40? Taking risks at this moment right ? or wrong!

like everything else in life it depends. but let me tell you some things. web dev barrier to entry is low which is good but also bad because there are a lot of people . I suppose you have a full-time job, but there are students out there who has a lot of time at their disposal that they can throw at web dev. They also have a lot energy and no commitments. Do you think you can outwork them? also ask why would you really want to pivot to web dev? are you a very creative person, do you have very good eye for design? anything else that you're exceptional at that would give you an advantage? If I were you, I would double on my strengths at this stage of my life/career.

I would say it’s better late than never than to live with regrets. I used to be a medical doctor. At the age of 30, I switched to design full time. Im 32 now and I am learning to code. Do what you are interested in doing. If you do it well, you will succeed. Do it
