Why wasn’t Ax used in the moment about H or sum of forces in x direction

because we were only looking at the left hand side of the cut. Ax was thus not included. Hope this helped

we didn't use Ax in the sum of moments because we summed the moments about A, which means if any forces go through that point, the moment they create is 0
