Hi. I have the e530 and recently got a 520 also. They both sound great!! Are you using some overdrive pedal with the 520 in your video? Sounds killer!

Very nice lead tone mate.... For you which one is better for solos, E520 or E530? Btw I have E840/50 power amp. I use it with Laney GH100L s preamp section. It sounds very similar to your tone. But I prefer your tone because I think EL34s better for solos...

I did not try 530...but love 520! I try to sell power amp and buy two notes torpedo live! with 520 this will be magical tone !

I really liked my e530, but that dual mid-range control always had me re-adjusting and searching for the mids I like, but could never find in that unit. Exceptional otherwise!

in my opinion...yes! preamp is great even for room volume

Oh good...lol. I just bought one from Ebay in near mint condition and awaiting delivery. I was looking for the Mesa type brooding growl with complex mids , would you describe it that way or different?

Yes...you can get lot of awesome midrange sound! Do you have tube power amp and good box? P.s... put presence on 520 to zero when pair with power amp!

I'm looking to pair it with either VHT, Macintosh or a Boogie Simul-class 295 monster. Also got a T.C Gmaj which is the best sounding FX I have heard so far. Been looking for a small 1 U rack power amps like the Macht 402 but someone advised against pairing a cheap power amp with something like the Engle520. Apparently the Engl will really shine if it gets top notch power driving it. Pls let me know if you know about any great PA's:)

+Mickeyislowd You can use brunetti rockit,or r&r 1u power amp,mesa 20/20, marshall 20/20! engl now made 2x20 power amp!
