defiantly need daly back, or another younger hungier striker, because Russo has completly flopped, she was great in last euros, i heard about having a dip in form, but this has gone on for a long time now, she cannot even hit the target in 90 minutes. Constantly giving the ball away in midfield, silly back passes etc sarina wont be creative and make changes she will keep going with the stanway/walsh/toone set up, that doesn't pose any great threat like it once did. i would have had Clinton/Jess park out there. theres so much talent on the bench.

Attended the game with my grassroots girls team. England were very disappointing, looked 2nd best most the game. Can’t defend corners. France overall looked stronger in all areas. Think a few England players peaked a few years ago and get picked because of this. Squad needs a revamp

There's no doubt this English team have finished their cycle. The drive is not there any more & depending on how things go in 2nd matches against France and Sweden, they might not even qualify for the tournament. Still, at least they used their period of dominance to win a major tournament -- which the French have never done.

What a disaster this result is. It now means that if England we do not win on Tuesday they will have to qualify via the play off. That’s means there are no guarantee who we will get when the draw is announced

i honestly dont understand sarina's team selection, she still playing individuals that clearly out of form, if Russo is our only striker....then we have serious problems upfront, she hasnt been the same since last Euro's, cannot get a shot on target for the whole match, the midfield looks flat and poses zero threat, carter at back doesnt have pace and gets roasted by these younger players, taking mead off to put kelly on...like seriously. Mead and Hemp and bronze are the only decent players that can change a game. She has lots of young talent on the bench, but chooses the play the same team and formation that worked for them time ago, but its not now.

these girls play week in week out for clubs etc their defiantly fit enough. the fact is Russo has lost her form massively since last euros (but then she was utilised as a super-sub because we had the brillant Ellen White) now she cannot get a shot on target in 90 minutes. we have to rely on the likes of Mead or Hemp to get us goals. With Grace clinton and Jess Park on the bench is far greater threat than the stanway or walsh or toone etc it will probably take an early exist out of a tournament for sarina to rethink her team selection and strategy.

I don't approve of the way other people sometimes show alot of dislike towards the Lionesses play, they are a team which are not the same as the men, because they are their individual selves. They show though that they deserve to be playing their game because they have been a force at times and shown that they can go all the way to finals etc. This result I believe doesn't take anything away from the results that the Lionesses can achieve, we have seen them when they won the Euros - yes they didn't win the World Cup but they were close and were beaten by a strong Spanish side. I have every faith that they will bounce back, they have quality and even though they don't have Daly they are a force. Unlucky Lionesses - win some you lose some.
