OMG...that England lock was a big lad. Love watching U20s. I could be mistaken but the English team looked much heavier, man for man.
@Kratos-0055 ай бұрын
Maybe just bulking up more in the gym. A much better strength training system than the french. These young England lads absolutely obliterated the french in the scrum. Englands pack was brutal for the whole game.

@@Kratos-005 Don't forget that 4 French U20 players were off with the full national side. Including the 150Kg, 6' 5" second row!

Rugby is now dominated by scrums and rolling mauls. Be interesting to know how many average points per game are a result of dominance in these two areas. One stage rugby was becoming like rugby league now its more like wrestling.

I’ve been saying this for ages. We don’t want to see minor infringements rolled on to penalties. The whole idea of rugby as a ‘handling’ game is becoming a farce. None of us want to see it evolve into League, but if props could just do their basic job well, without trying to break the other guy’s neck, the game would be able to revert back to what it was intended to be. Oh dear, that would affect the Springboks game. Never mind. I want to see rugby played, not watch continual scrummage resets and penalty kicks.

How come Sean Kerr plays for England, totally letting his heritage down. No doubt it's all about money.
@DocNubbin5 ай бұрын
He was born in Johannesburg, but started playing rugby at Effingham and Leatherhead RFC aged 5, so was clearly in England from a very young age. My view is that if a player learns his rugby through a particular country's school system, he is morally entitled to play for that country. Kerr made his choice, but probably sees himself as English, not South African. Why would he if his parents settled in England soon after he was born?
@patrickchilds29872 ай бұрын
How is he letting down his heritage . He was born in Johannesburg but has lived I England all his life , after jis parents emigrated to UK , he went to school in England and played all his representative games for England . What nationality he identifes as and for whome he decides to play for is his business and nothing to do with you . Your last snide comment is pretty sly stating that he has done it for the money ? What money do you think he is earning having recently left school, playing at Quins academy and just back from his loan to Richmond As a 19 year old I'm guessing he is solely focused on his future be it playing rugby or at university. Most likely he has lived in England most of his life and his path is with England. He is someone that shpuld be applauded for winning a U20 RWC by both countries but instead you seem determined to question his pride in his heritage and his motivation. What's wrong with you ? You must think a lot of yourself happily proclaiming judgement on social media on the heritage and motivation of a 19 year old you have never met instead of minding your own business.

Complete rubbish. If England had lost playing running rugby in the atrocious conditions of torrential rain, they would have been torn to shreds for being gallant losers and not playing to the weather. The French were not good enough, end of story. Plus they chose to send their biggest U20s to Argentina to tour with the full national side, so clearly thought that a meaningless 2 game tour was more important than wining a major world title. When there were dry conditions, England scored some brilliant tries - have a look at the first try here - kzbin.info/www/bejne/boTbpKqhp9dlo8U&ab_channel=EnglandRugby

England suck France into their boring game and just do it better...zzzzzz! To have virtually never got it out into their talented back line is a crime for the French.
