Great knock again by Robin Smith, my favourite player of the time. Always stood up & took on the WI quicks with a fierce square cut. Poorly managed as many players were by the management at the time. Should have played far more.

Super test match this - and not just because England won. The pitch got a lot of flak (naughty old pitch!!), but it provided almost the ideal balance between bat and ball. Not something we see that often.
