This was the first test match I ever attended. I was 12 years old. I sat right against the boundary rope on the grass. My ticket, from memory, cost me £3.00. Happy days!

Brearley was the best captain I ever seen as captain of England his man management skills were second to none

Great memories. As Jim Laker says at the end, Boycott controlled this game from beginning to end, but it was probably also Brearley's best innings for England.
