Actually the last full match I ever watched with my dad… even though he was jamaican, my brother and I being English, he was willing England on for the equaliser. Nearly 20 years ago, this game was so frustrating. Typical England qualification nonsense, I was revising for me GCSE's and my parents were watching the game in the Living Room, I was popping in and out. I'll never forget being in my room and Mum saying "Gav, I know you're angry but Beckham has got a free kick in a good position, probably the last kick of the game!" I was being a sulky teenager and ignored her lmfao.

I've never really understood why England make such a big deal of this game? They were already guaranteed a play-off before kick off.
