Probably not, it's too big a jump for a 17 year old at centre forward unless they have tremendous physical attributes (particularly strength or pace). There are some positions like full back and winger where you might be able to get away with it, but generally centre backs and centre forwards generally need to be a bit more physically developed before getting a chance

The standard of English managers over the last thirty, forty years, has been one of the biggest embarrassments in English sport. An absolute disgrace, the more I think about it the more amazingly bad the last three decades have been. The best English manager in that time - Allardyce? Howe? Unbelievably poor standards. They have been competing for the past 6 or 7 years but with the revamp of the academy system in England and with the influx of top foreign managers at Premier League level, we've seen a huge change in youth football in England. Man City, Chelsea and Arsenal are considered some of the best academies in the world. There are some top players who are not even playing in these championships like Shea Lacey. The future is bright for England.
