A flight from Thornhill to Dewsbury and back. Springtime 2021 with lush greenery setting off the old stonework. Mill town on the edge of green fields.

I just came across your video and loved it. I have not lived in Dewsbury for over 20 years, but love to watch drone videos of the town where I grew up and try to get my bearings. Coming from the Leeds Road / Sugar lane side, it took a while to get my bearings this time. It was not until I saw thornhhill lees church that I kew where i was. Heading back to Thornhill was poignant. Flying up the Calder Overflow, I lost count of the number of times my mates and I walked up that channel, skateboards in hand, heading for the concrete bowl at the weir end. Thank you for putting it up. Peace and happiness.

Many thanks for the comments. I too have not lived in Dewsbury for over 20 years. I lived in Thornhill and as a kid used to wonder what it would be like to just fly out over those fields. Now I've done it, sort of! Check out my films flying in the other direction, towards Briestfield and Whitley.

It would be nice to go further to Batley.

Excellent video with good accompanying music . Can you do one of Leeds or are there air traffic control restrictions there ?
