I recently found the original version of this song and fell in love with it. And not being somebody who can speak or understand Japanese I naturally started looking into English covers of it. So imagine my surprise when the only cover I've found that actually references the self reflection the original song had in it was one that only covers the first verse and chorus! Everything else seems to focus on the love story angle way more, but you actually brought in the part of the original lyrics that hits on the actual concept of the Manga its based around: quite literally meeting yourself and having to reckon with that. Good job! I only wish you did the full song!

They mean that OP wrote the English lyrics to be singable. If you sing a direct translation it will sound awkward and syllables might not match up with the beat. Despite there not being much rhyming in this cover version, I think I still prefer it over the more popular Jubyphonic ver. To be completely fair though, she wrote and recorded her version while sick.
