Interesting how Xander's mom blocked them from learning Korean so they wouldn't understand the bad comments around them. My parents never considered the negative impact that being biracial could have on us when they raised me and my brother lol they only really thought about it when we told them our experiences

in indonesia, indonesian-chinese people are often labeled as "chindo" which started not too long way ago. in addition, several years before the chindo thing, people in indonesia were started to stop calling china as cina but they replaced it with tiongkok, which i believe has the same equivalency with the word "중국" in korean (idek why i just found myself already too comfy with saying cina rather than tiongkok lol)
