The bass trombone part for this suite is great. Especially those low brass heavy sections at 1:06 and 8:30, where bass tbn takes it an octave lower than everyone else.

Ah, 1st cornet and every single solo... Lol I couldn't feel my lips for the longest time... Repeated everything as well. Great piece and fun to play too.

I love the differences between different performances of an orchestral piece... At 1:05, it's interesting that the melody part is played fairly staccato, whereas some other performances are a longer marcado. Changes the feel of the whole section, very cool.

I play trumpet in this piece and I'm a freshman. I take all the solos except for the one in the second movement. Our band also doesn't really take the repeats in anything. By the end of the second movement, I have completely lost the feeling in my lips and cheeks. BrassPobs(:

Depends what state you live in. But in most, yes, it is a 5. I'm playing this now, freshmen year, same situation as you with wind ensemble. However, I play horn. So I guess it's different from that standpoint, because I think my part is easy.
