What you are saying is quite correct, however, remember that this is a video teaching the language used to take a blood sample, not a video teaching the clinical skills used to take a blood sample. The language focuses on verbal consent (Is it ok, if I take a blood sample?) , polite requests and verbs of movement. The doctor asks the patient to check her details on the blood form (quite reasonable) and would also check these details on the patient's ID bracelet. Normal practice would be to ask the patient for As you can see, the video is just under 2 minutes long. Too short to cover all aspects of taking a blood sample. It's always important to remember that teaching medical English is teaching the language of communication in a healthcare setting.

Sorry: incomplete sentence. Normal practice would be to ask the patient for these details, but this was not possible within the time constraints of this video. This is why the doctor asks the patient to check the blood form.

There is a very bad mistake! We have to ask the patient which are his/her details. Not give the form to the patient and ask to have a look if is right!
