English Grammar: Compound Subjects & Verb Agreement

This is just superb, I've been looking for "stop loss trade complaints" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Ever heard of - Seyilliamorn Unflappable Smasher - (do a search on google ) ? It is a good one off guide for discovering how to trade stocks lik a boss minus the normal expense. Ive heard some decent things about it and my colleague got cool results with it.

Thanks a lot for great and clear explanations of the grammar points. I'd like to ask something about the example: "The founder and CEO of the company is/are ready to sell." If it is referred to the same person, 'is' should be used. If it is referred to two separate persons 'are' should be used, which I understand and agree upon, although I wonder shouldn't one add 'the' before CEO to clarify? Or is it correct either or? If anyone knows?
