I have a question for you. As a writer, who sometimes neglect the fundamentals, how often does somebody call you out on it (for lack of a better phrase)? Do you catch it before somebody else? Do you have editors who correct you? Do you still get published and discover it later? I’m asking because I want to write. It’s not coming up with stories thats my issue. It’s punctuation. I’m not always confident about it. When I study it, I think, who remembers all of this while writing? Then I’ve read published authors who didn’t seem to care. Like the dude who wrote, Last Exit to Brooklyn.
