My goal was learning new skills. Explanation: The gerunds reading and learning new skills complete the subject by identifying or describing it. 2. Object Complement: A gerund can act as a complement to the object in certain sentence structures. Example: I saw her running in the park. They found him swimming in the lake. Explanation: The gerunds running and swimming complement the objects her and him by describing their actions. 3. Complement in Phrases or Clauses: Gerunds can complement an idea or thought in the sentence. Example: What she loves most is painting. The challenge is solving the puzzle. Explanation: The gerunds painting and solving the puzzle provide additional information to complete the idea.

These are provided by KZbin and are fairly accurate. In case you find the speed too fast to make notes then go to the Settings tab next to CC and make the speed of the video slower. You can mute the video at slow speed to avoid the distorted voice.
