antilock breaking system. surprisingly this system improves the Vehicle handling drametically while breaking.today is this animated video we will cover this amazing technology.

Working of Abs system.
Lets start with Meaning of ABS
ABS stands for the Anti Lock breaking system.
Main function of abs system is to prevent the Wheels of vehicle from Skid. which Archived by Preventing locking of wheels of vehicle.
so its called anti lock breking system.
Necessity:::
When driver suddenly applies the brakes.
braking system lock the wheels of vehicle.
this causes the wheel skid which results in Poor handling.
ABS system Prevents the Locking of Wheels which Eliminates the wheel skidding and Thus Driver handling can be maximised.
Construction:::
ABS consist of Wheel speed sensor which made of a toothed wheel and sensor element.
wheel speed sensor is Equipped in every wheel which is connected with ECM.
One Hydraulic Modulator consist of Electronic Oil pump , one high pressure accumalator and solenoid valve assembly.
in which Oil pump is Connected with the Master cyllinder of vehicle. solenoid valve assembly is connected via return line with master cylinder. while Solenoid Valve assembly is connected with every wheel cylinder via main supply line and return line.
to control the solenoid valve and high pressure oil Pump they are connected with the ECM.
Brake pedal is connected with Master cylinder while Brake light switch is connected with the ECM.
WORKING::::
When driver applies the brake with help of brake light connection ECM detect the Movement of Brake Pedal and Determine the speed of vehicle with the Wheel speed sensor.
whenever brake pedal is pressed Oil from master cylinder goes to the Modulator.
In modulator ECM Activates the High Pressure Oil pump which result in Increase in Oil pressure.this High pressure Oil is Stored in High pressure accumaltor.
Now using Data of wheel speed sensor ECM actuates the solenoid valve and thus HIgh pressure oil is supplied to the Wheel cylinder of each Cylinder.this brake the wheel and cause the locking. as soon as the locking starts on the signal of sensor ECM Release the pressure by closing Supply valve and opening Relese valve simutaneously.this process repeates until vehicle slows or Completely Rests.
This ensures the efficient Braking of vehicle with minimum amount of skid.
this Process is so Fast that you cant even feel while Braking.ECM works on Almost 8000 pulse per second for efficient operation of Braking.With this method Most efficient Braking can be archived.

we know that, generally four wheelers are run at a high speed compared to two wheeler so basically high heat is generated in four wheelers while applying the brakes then why we are not providing any holes in four wheeler disk. what is the actual reason behind it or what is the engineering behind it ???

In cars ventilated disks are used and since cars have weight it also causes dotted disks to break
