Truly speaking...English is not a scientific language. Sometime what ever is written is not pronounced accordingly. How ever it has gained popularity over other languages because it is considered the language of globalisation. In indian context, speaking English is considered as mark of being intelligent. However, it is all due to long colonial rule in India. It is need of hour to respect our dialects with English. It important to learn English but it is equally important to learn our mother tongue. Finally.......I’ve found some one who speaks and pronounces English in a correct fashion. This is my pet peeve about people just butchering the language really brutally. Why English only......my other big complaint is about people speaking atrocious Hindi/Urdu ......even on the news channels. They have no concept of pronouncing Z in correct usage. They are happily interchanging J with a Z or vice versa. So a Zulf becomes a Julf.......Zameen becomes Jameen ; they have no idea how to use S and Sh ......shayad is pronounced as Sayad ! I hate it when I have to listen to all this on tv also..... High time people went back to classes to get a bit of polish on their spoken English plus Hindi and Urdu.

Well said no rules in english. Only sanskrit language has complete and scientific grammer. English language has its own rules . Any body can pronounce a word in own way. Not so in sanskrit. You go anywhere in the world and pronunciation will be the same and you don't feel ashamed that you are pronouncing it wrong.

Well, the british pronunciation of CHASSIS is the one what u said (SHASEE), but the american pronunciation is Chasee & not Shasee. But I must say that the way u explain in a little naughty and comic style (especially - "Meri gaadi ka....Ay, hindi mein baat kar mujhse.." ) is very sweet & adorable..
