This is great! Could you say Bernards flaw is his lack of intervention with Biff? He acknowledged Biff's loss of drive and didn't try to help?

I would argue that this is not the case because: 1. Bernard does try to help; he tutors him in maths 2. Failing to help another is not in itself a character flaw However, if you can argue it coherently, the examiners would accept it.
