Your Name is such an amazing anime it never fails to dive deep into my heart and touch my soul, every time I watch it the feeling lingers in my mind and heart and . . . i cant exactly describe how it makes me feel (feeling stupid writing this down but wont stop). I just put my head down for some time and enjoy that feeling. I'm really amazed how someone could come up and make something so beautiful so amazing. Even though Taki and Mitsuha are not real I really feel happy for them. I have narrowed down the reasons and I think I finally understand why a movie affected me like it did. I believe it is because I can sympathize with that feeling of loneliness and faint taste of sorrow that you feel everyday, even when your around the people you love. In the end, my mask has been sowed onto my being and I use it to hide this abyss in my being. As foolish as it sounds, this movie gives me a dim ray of hope that someday I might find someone who understands me, someone who I can without shame remove me mask in front of. Someone who I can hug and cherish selflessly, so that one day this cocktail of emotions can be taken apart and understood. Even if this hope is unrealistic, it does help me get up in the morning.

wow returning to this movie and being overwhelmed with feelings all over again. I love how the story was weaved into the lyrics, you can hear how the characters were contemplating this missing piece of themselves that they couldn't put their finger on and then brushing it off as "nothing". But then that striking realization of that was what that was. I was working on my own lyrics for an english cover and was never able to capture that feeling, I'm really glad that you made this as well as the present version! Your Name is such a moving story and I'm glad it doesn't end after the credits roll because of people like you who keep the story going!
