Hi, I enjoy your video and am new to this wonderful Art. My question is you only mottled the head red color not limbs or belly plate. Do I not mottled those in red only the head? Sorry I am confused. I have a boy belly plate and back plate both anatomically correct.

Hi ! Welcome to the reborning world ! You do mottling on all the pieces. I am not showing all because it would be too long and repetitive but all the steps you will do on all limbs and belly/back plates.

@@leabellenurserie Thank you so much I am enjoying your videos and also subscribed to you. My asleep Levi kit is dark compared to your asleep sweetie I hope I am doing this right. I have Apple barrel acrylics paints. Do I need a better brand so it shows up color? Thank you also for replying back to me. I sincerely appreciate you so much and your tutorials are amazing.

You're welcome! Craft paints are ok to practice but they tend to fade over time. A good quality paint like Liquitex, Golden or JoSonja will gives you better results and are no too expensive. The skin tone you will get will depend on the dilution of your paint and the number of layers. Some kits are already darker than others, so they need less layers. Good luck!

do you have a list of paint colors you use?
@leabellenurserie3 жыл бұрын
Not really because I love triying new colors. But my "go to" are primary yellow, primary cyan, pyrrole or cadmium red, burnt or raw umber, teal, sap green, titan buff.

I am so sad! I am working on my first one and the red I used for mottling wasn’t translucent enough and it’s way too dark 😭 can I just paint hair over it? Or should I strip the head and start over?
@leabellenurserie4 жыл бұрын
If it's just the head that has the problem with the hair it will be ok. If it's also the face or limbs you can try to neutralize with a wash of mint green (look the opposite color on a color wheel).
