I think the disabled button makes the lifts\elevators with double-sided doors open the doors on the other side when it reaches its destination so people in a wheelchair can go forwards to get out and not have to turn around....

車いすの人（ハンデある人用）のボタンは、普通のボタンと違う高さに位置しているだけじゃなくて、 その車いす用のボタンを押すと 扉の開いている時間が 普通の時よりも長い時間になる らしいよ。（車いすの人は、普通の人よりも エレベーターに出たり入ったり が やりづらくて、時間が少し 多くかかるから）
