One thing I loved about Japan (and Osaka in particular) was how clear and consistent the announcements were, you know exactly everything you need to get on the correct train and even the best car depending on where you're going to

This Englishman visited Japan in 2005. The female train announcer had perfect English, like these ones, but had an American accent and used American phrases like 'cars one through eight'. This was no problem, and I had a wonderful time seeing the sights in Tokyo, Odawara, Chigaseki, and later Kyoto and Osaka.
