Depends on what games you play. If you play older games and adjust the TDP and GPU MHz you can push out anywhere from 2-8 hours. Set games to 40Hz to get the most out of them. Can leave some at 60Hz if they don’t use too much power. Steam Deck can be optimized well. You can also set game profiles so you don’t always have to switch the settings once they’ve been set for each individual game.

@@パピーキリン No problem. Sometimes 3-3.5 hours with more modern games. But have to turn down Hz and FPS to 40. Along with some other settings. 40Hz surprisingly feels very smooth for most games on a handheld.
Yeah emulations is insane on the Steam Deck. Even on SteamOS. The only emulator that needs to be played on the Steam Deck with Windows 10/11 is Xbox 360.
Technically yes. But requires Linux knowledge. Some people use “Lutris” or “Bottles” to get it working. If you know English there are tutorials on KZbin on how to get some games to work from the Epic Store.
The Steam Deck is super nice. It plays everything. Can run it in a Linux environment or Windows 10/11. ProtonGE works very well in SteamOS with some games that aren’t compatible with Linux.
It depends. ProtonGE works for some Linux games. It’s basically a compatibility layer for Windows. For example “Phantasy Star Online 2: NGS” in NA works with the Steam Deck even though it shouldn’t. Because of ProtonGE it works.
It’s possible to use Reshade with Steam Deck. Deckyloader is good for making colors pop like an OLED too. Texture modifications are possible with emulators.
