The father is really obtuse on this topic. He sees noodle making as less prestigious than the other professions his older children chose, and has always been self-effacing because of his own profession. I suspect that if he had let Xiaolong help him in the shop all along, his son would have gotten into less trouble as a teen and young man. It's just proof, IMO, that parents may mean well, but not always create the best results for their children.

Tradition...you live on thru your children. Episode reminded me of my Dad working two jobs all his life...his six kids...3 of us graduated from college. Miss him so much. RIP.🌷

I'm only halfway through this episode and it's so good to see them in the flower mill laughing. Even the doctor has a rolling pin in his hands well sister and brother knead the dough. He will be as good at making noodles as his father if not better.

I wish I had a father like Mr Fang so protective and so loving of the children. And Xiaolong is so funny. This drama is so well written you can relate to in our own lives. It's real life experiences. It has everything joy,sorrows,anger and happiness.👍👍👍👍👍👍🤩🤩🤩

I'm a bit old-fashioned, so I appreciate the moral values shown in this series. A bit childish here and there but it's ok.I also love they choose good-looking actors and actresses. Pity the manager wears more than half of the episodes that stupid suit. Also stupid is that you see only western brands of cars, PC, cellphones etc, even the mailbox is US style 🤣. At least they were realistic about the noodles shop and manufacturing place, very dirty and bad-equipped, impossible to run in Europe or the US I presume...Maybe Africa is worse

What was the reason of the lawyer had broken up with the daughter what's the hes parents in except her? What was it that the woman he married could help him Financially.because for him to still go by father's noodles and still be thinking about her what was the reason to lose someone you love that much. And the rich spoiled guy is he a doctor or is he her husband Son a did she come from a rich family and she did it kind of strange mar man that has to children who's a widow Is it sunny on wondering is why would you leave her some behind unless your faring a rich guy and you're covering up your past. Open tennessee name you're adopted kid like your son unless she married a man who already had a son but had the same name as her biological son
