I am very touched by this version. Japan's Christianity began in Hirado Island, Hizen Province (present day Nagasaki) Japan in the 16th Century when Francis Xavier came as a missionary and many Japanese people became Christians . But Christianity was banned in Japan for about 200 years. Japanese Christians had to renounce their faith or die. Christians that were hiding and living in Ikitsuki Island and other islands in Nagasaki were eventually found and killed. The blue sea became red. Christians used rocks to form the cross to pray in secret. After that they had scatter the rocks so that the non Christians will not find them. I cried when I first heard the Japanese version of "The Blessing" because the history of Japanese Christians is very sad and they sacrificed their lives. Thank you for your very inspirational video. THANK YOU for the blessing of this arrangement! I have loved this song for a while, and searched for it in Japanese, as I was a missionary in Japan from 2010 to 2018. LOVE what you did with it -- the traditional Japanese style infused into it, many yukata, and the rap was a great addition as well. VERY well done.
