I'm an English professor and KZbinr from the United States, so I'm not an English learner. But I sometimes watch other KZbinrs that teach English because I'm just interested to see their different methods and styles (even if I can't understand the native language-I use the translator). Anyway, I just wanted to say that I thought your videos are really good. They're very clear, and they have useful lessons that will help learners a lot. I'm always happy when I get an encouraging comment, so I like to also give encouraging comments when I see someone else like you doing a good job. You're doing great work…I hope you keep it up!

Most of your words are true indeed. I am Malay from Malaysia . Married a man from America. He is a New Yorker. While I am talking to him I am thinking in my native language then translate it in English. He told me he always gets confused . My English is just like pieces of puzzles so he must try to complete it first before answering it to me. I am good at listening but so bad in spoken . Anyway thank you for your advice I will try hard to do that so I will get fluent English in a short of time. 🎉🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤

Hi Michael, I enjoyed listening to this video. It's very helpful. I switched my phone to English, my tablet too. I speak with my horse in English, because he understands all languages. At home I speak English with my partner, somtimes an hour. I don't speak fluently, but I notice an improvement in my speaking. I'm no longer too shy to speak, I've gained more confidence and that makes me happy. There is still a long way to go to become fluent in English and only think in English while I speak, but I won't give up. Thank you, Michael, for the wonderful opportunity to learn English at "English At The Ready"!

In Japan, students study English for six years, from middle school to high school, but very few people end up being able to speak it. That’s because the focus is on test-oriented English rather than practical, natural language skills. It feels like such a waste of time.

The same situation in Korea. There are so many English teaching institutions, private and public sector in Korea. Korea is well known as heavily investing country in English learning in the world. The better you practice, The more you'll enhance your comprehension and speaking in English.. The most dangerous risk in the word is not taking risk..You must be taking risks..Don't be afraid.put it in your mind that English is just just a language, not the Rocket science.. Always believe in you that You'll be able to speak it... When You speak your own language, You don't need to translate..It's like same with English.. Not from tomorrow,, From now,You stop translating English from your brain...At the end, You are going to crack it..... Best of luck, man ! ❤

I have been practicing writing and speaking in English out side of my English class at school. I recorded videos of me speaking. Recently I decided to put my videos on a new KZbin Channel. I notice that by having more time to keep on practicing especially by writing, reading and speaking as well as listening, I can do better. Yes, I would like to keep on learning so I can make it natural for myself. Thank you for your insightful ideas and points here encouraging us to how to practice so we can more familiar and more natural using it.
