WAY back in the 1960's MY parents & I arrived in the US. Dad dropped us off at the grocery store & left. It was only 2 blocks from our home, so don't get all excited. There were no ESL classes, as those hadn't been invented, yet. There were no translators in schools, so 8 year old me had to sink or swim. 100% immersion works & I plus hundreds of THOUSANDS of other are living proof.
